About Me

Dr. Konstantino (Dan) Avradopoulos has more than 20 years of experience in medicine and currently serves as a surgeon and the lead physician of the Wound Care Center at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts. The Wound Care Center received a Center of Distinction Award from Healogics, Inc., in 2016. Following his graduation from Northeast Ohio University's College of Medicine, Dr. Dan Avradopoulos completed a surgical residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he distinguished himself as the chief resident of his class.

Subsequently invited to a surgical oncology fellowship at Brown University College of Medicine and the Roger Williams Medical Center, Dr. Dan Avradopoulos was honored to receive the American Cancer Society's Clinical Fellowship Award and the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Merit Award. He completed his fellowship in 1996 and went on to serve on the surgical staffs of three Providence hospitals, all affiliated with Brown University.

Since that time, Dr. Dan Avradopoulos has held clinical staff positions and administrative posts at several prominent New England hospitals. While serving as the director of surgical oncology and gastrointestinal oncology at Saint Vincent Hospital in the Worcester (Massachusetts) Medical Center, Dr. Avradopoulos took on additional responsibilities as the surgical oncology director and medical director of the breast cancer clinic at Reliant Medical/Fallon Clinic. Later hired as a staff surgeon and hospital administrator at Harrington Hospital, Dr. Avradopoulos now serves as the lead physician of Heywood Hospital’s Wound Care Center.
